Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Petra Labs, LLC, doing business as NovaBrains ("NovaBrains," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of our website, interactive demonstrations, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

NovaBrains is the brand under which Petra Labs, LLC operates a PhD-led AI and automation consultancy based in Raleigh, NC. Our website provides information about our services and includes interactive demonstrations of AI capabilities, a newsletter, and the ability to schedule a call with us.

The website and its demonstrations are provided for informational and evaluation purposes. Any paid consulting engagement is governed by a separate written agreement, as described in Consulting Services.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf, and "you" refers to that organization.

These Terms govern your use of our website and demonstrations. They do not, by themselves, create any consulting, advisory, or professional services relationship. Any engagement for consulting or implementation services will be set out in a separate written agreement, proposal, or statement of work signed by both parties, which will govern that engagement. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement controls for that engagement.

We offer demonstrations of AI-powered voice agents. By starting a demo call, you acknowledge and agree that:

• The call may be recorded and transcribed so the AI agent can operate and so we can improve the demonstration, as described in our Privacy Policy;
• The demonstrations are provided for evaluation only and may be limited, interrupted, or discontinued at any time;
• You will not share sensitive personal information during a demo, and you will not use the demonstrations to harass, deceive, or harm others or to place unlawful or unsolicited calls;
• You are responsible for ensuring your use of any phone number you provide is lawful and authorized.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other users' data, or our systems or networks;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services, including by introducing malware or overloading our infrastructure;
• Scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Services except as permitted by law and these Terms;
• Reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Services, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
• Use the Services to send spam or to transmit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.

The Services, including all text, graphics, logos, designs, software, and other content we provide, are owned by NovaBrains or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your internal business or personal, non-commercial evaluation purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our prior written permission. The NovaBrains name and logo are our trademarks and may not be used without our consent.

The Services rely on and may link to third-party products and websites — including scheduling, telephony, hosting, and email providers, and our separate Academy platform. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms and policies.

Content on the website and any output produced by our demonstrations or AI features is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or other advice. AI systems can produce inaccurate or incomplete information. You are responsible for independently evaluating any output before relying on it, and you should not treat demonstration output as a substitute for professional judgment.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any results obtained from using the Services will be accurate or reliable.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NovaBrains and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Services will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NovaBrains and its owners, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

Our collection and use of personal information in connection with the Services is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We may modify or discontinue the Services, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts, except where prohibited by applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Services or other users. Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will continue to apply.
