A keepsake box for a deck of cards, Monopoly Deal by default, half the deck in each of two compartments. The lid swings up on wooden pins that turn in rounded ears at the back, and closes with a click: a flap at its front hangs over the box, and small magnets hidden inside the flap meet magnets hidden in the front wall. Lift it by the rounded tongue, engraved with a monogram. A raised frame with cusped corners surrounds your title and message on the lid, and the box stands on a plinth. Made for 5 × 2.8 mm disc magnets and 3 mm plywood; set your own sizes, or type an inside size of your own for a small box: the pegs of a travel map, dice, rings.

Engraved along the left side, as seen from the front; a long line wraps onto two rather than shrinking. Type ♥ or <3 for a small heart drawn in diagonal scored lines. Leave it empty for a plain side.

Round disc magnets. Measure one with calipers if you can: the holes are cut to this.
Best equal to your plywood's thickness, so each magnet sits flush in its hole and the two touch when the lid is shut.
Added to each magnet or washer hole's diameter. 0 cuts it to size, for a drop of glue. Negative presses them in tight; positive lets them drop in.

Room round the hinge pins and at each side of the lid. Stiff: add 0.1. Loose: take some off.
Gap between the cards and each wall, so they drop in and tip out easily.
